During Wednesday’s meeting of the Bolesławiec City Council, the issue of the number of benches along Bobrowa Path—which some considered insufficient—was discussed. Mayor Piotr Roman
Yesterday (July 4—editor’s note: istotne.pl), I cycled along Bobrowa Path. I have not seen such a large amount of alcohol in a long time, not even at a big wedding.
The head of the municipal office added that some people who party by the Bóbr River then smash bottles. Later, reports emerge that someone’s animal has injured its paw.
– We clean it every day, even several times a day – the mayor stressed. He added that, for some residents, there will always be too few benches. Bolesławiec City can, of course, install more benches, but many of them—precisely because of vandals—will not survive until the next season.
– Vandalism in Bolesławiec is one of the most serious problems – the mayor stated. He also announced that municipal services would repair damaged property, even if the local government spends significantly more on eliminating the effects of vandalism than is the case in other regions.
Piotr Roman also mentioned that Kazimierz Łomotowski, director of the Municipal Housing Management Facility Kazimierz Łomotowski, had even considered installing vandal-proof benches along Bobrowa Path—ones that could… only be set on fire. (Which has also happened in Bolesławiec.)
