As reported by KP PSP Bolesławiec: – In the second half of June, firefighters from JRG Bolesławiec practised water rescue procedures to provide them with the appropriate skills and preparation for water-related rescue operations.

The exercises included simulations of various scenarios, such as towing, keeping injured people afloat and pulling them out of the water, as well as evacuating an injured person to a safe place.

Another element involved operating specialist rescue equipment: boats, wetsuits, safety vests and throw lines.

The officers add:

The exercises were intended to prepare firefighters for water rescue operations, provide them with appropriate technical skills and theoretical knowledge, and increase their safety during interventions in aquatic areas.
