Oliwier Skorupiński competed in the 1500m race, in which 10 athletes took part—two from each country. The race strategy focused on competing for position, so Skorupiński stayed in the middle of the pack from the start until the final 200 metres. He then decided to attack and managed to overtake several competitors. After a fierce finish, he took third place with a time of 4:00;48. The weather conditions that day were changeable—at one moment the sun was shining, and moments later it was raining.

On the same day, Katarzyna Pierzchalska competed in the high jump, finishing the competition in ninth place with a result of 1.60m. Both athletes can certainly draw pride and motivation from their first appearance wearing the Polish eagle on their chests, which will surely drive them to work hard and achieve increasingly better results in the years to come.

The competition took place in Ptuj, Slovenia, where the Polish team finished second. We congratulate our athletes on their debut in the national colours and eagerly await the Polish Championships, which will take place in July. Oliwier's coach is Dariusz Łomański, while Katarzyna's coach is Bartosz Gruman.
