On June 2, officers and employees of the Border Guard Post in Zgorzelec commemorated the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the Border Guard. In the ceremonial assembly at the Zgorzelec MDK, alongside officers and employees, representatives of local government authorities, the prosecutor’s office and uniformed services, the clergy, and cooperating institutions also took part.
Nadodrzański Oddział Straży Granicznej:
The ceremony provided an opportunity to present decorations, distinctions and appointment documents for promotion to higher service ranks. In recognition of support provided in finalizing official undertakings and projects, the Commander of Nadodrzański Oddział Straży Granicznej awarded the Decoration of Nadodrzański Oddział Straży Granicznej to the Zgorzelec County Head, Mr Artur Bieliński.
After the official part of the ceremony, the Commander of the Border Guard Post in Zgorzelec, Lt. Col. of the Border Guard Julia Mandecka, invited all meeting participants to a commemorative concert by Tomasz Jarosz, an officer of the Karpacki Oddział Straży Granicznej and longtime soloist of the Representative Orchestra of the Border Guard. Accompaniment was provided by the Representative Orchestra of the Turów Brown Coal Mine under the baton of bandmaster Mariusz Sawicki.
