The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 6, after 3:00 p.m., on the road between Nowa Kuźnia and Chocianów. The driver of the BMW, a 75-year-old man from Bolesławiec County, lost control of the vehicle, veered into a roadside ditch and hit a tree.
The man was travelling with his wife. Both were taken to hospital, but fortunately neither suffered anything serious.
Volunteer firefighters from Gromadka reported on the incident:
(…) at 3:40 p.m. we were dispatched to a road accident in the town of Nowa Kuźnia.
They added:
Upon arriving at the scene, our actions consisted of securing the scene, providing assistance to the injured and disconnecting the battery.
They also added: – At the scene, we worked with OSP Nowa Kuźnia, OSP Wierzbowa, JRG Bolesławiec, the emergency medical team and the Police.
Police officers appeal for prudence and caution on the road.
