Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec detained a man during an intervention after he threatened to take his former wife’s life. The officers:
In addition, since January 2023, the 64-year-old had been persistently harassing the woman. The perpetrator insulted the victim, showed up at her home and disturbed her nighttime rest. Two weeks earlier, he had also damaged the entrance door, causing losses valued at PLN 700.

The resident of Nowogrodziec municipality also regularly made it difficult for his former partner to use the shared part of the property.
As reported by the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, the evidence collected by the officers clearly indicated the need to isolate the aggressor from the victim. The police officers, prosecutor and judge all agreed that a preventive measure should be applied.
The aggressor was remanded in custody for three months. He faces a sentence ranging from six months to as many as eight years in prison.
