A Renault with Lwówek registration plates and an Opel with Lubań registration plates collided on Friday, before 6:00 p.m., at the main intersection in Ocice. The Opel driver failed to yield the right of way.
Preliminary findings indicate that two people were injured in the collision—one was taken to hospital.

A reader wrote to us. We quote: “I was a passenger. One woman was driving (...), the one who hit us, and I was struck on the passenger side. My partner was driving and tried to escape onto the pavement, but he didn’t make it in time.”

Police report that the incident was classified as a collision. The 21-year-old woman from Lubań County, who was driving an Opel, failed to yield the right of way to a Renault driven by a resident of Lwówek County. The person responsible for the collision was fined PLN 1,500.
