– During the past weekend, officers from the Lwówek police station noticed an Alfa Romeo vehicle while patrolling the town and decided to inspect it – reports Senior Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.
She adds:
Police intuition did not fail this time either. The driver smelled of alcohol. A breathalyzer test showed a result of 0.5 per mille of alcohol in the exhaled air.
And she adds:
As if that were not enough, checks in the police database revealed that the 40-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was subject to an active driving ban, and his car was not authorized for road use.
Our fellow local resident now faces up to five years behind bars.
