– Despite appeals for common sense behind the wheel and preventive campaigns during which police officers remind people that streets are not racetracks and that excessive speed is the most common cause of road accidents, there is still no shortage of reckless people who engage in risky behavior and pose a real threat on the road – reports Senior Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the County Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.

The Lwówek Śląski traffic police stopped a 27-year-old Volkswagen driver in Rakowice Małe who was speeding at 116 km/h in a built-up area.

Spokeswoman: – The resident of Bolesławiec County was fined PLN 2,500. In addition, the man lost his driving licence for three months and received 15 penalty points.
