The police were notified of a robbery that took place on one of the streets in Zgorzelec. – According to the information received, a 32-year-old man known to a 28-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County approached him and, threatening him with an object resembling a firearm, demanded that he hand over his mobile phone and bicycle – reports Commissioner Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the Commander of the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec.
She adds:
As a result of the measures taken, officers from the Criminal Department of the Zgorzelec police headquarters arrested the perpetrator and recovered the phone.
The 32-year-old was charged with robbery. At the prosecutor’s request, the court remanded the aggressor in custody for three months. The man faces a prison sentence of between two and twelve years.
