The project involves restoring a valuable natural heritage site. The site is listed in the register of historic monuments. It is a park designed by the famous German landscape architect Eduard Petzold. The picturesque park was established in the 1850s; it featured a small pond, a footbridge and a neo-Gothic pavilion.
See how much has already been done in the revitalized park:
The park’s revitalization involves improving biodiversity and restoring its practical function, transforming it from an abandoned and neglected site into an attractive space capable of hosting a variety of outdoor activities.
The project includes, among other things, restoring the layout of the park’s paths and inspecting the tree stand, including caring for mature trees and planting new ones. To restore the park’s original character, the plans also include renovating the fencing, fountain, retaining walls and small architectural features, as well as constructing electrical, water-supply and sanitary sewer systems. Work on the park’s revitalization is scheduled for completion in August 2023.
The contractor is “Agencja usługowa Stanisław Cap” from Święty Wojciech near Międzyrzecz, while the design was prepared by “GREENTEC – STUDIO Wojciech Bobek” from Wieliczka. The project is valued at PLN 4,955,778. It is co-financed by the state-funded Polish Deal Government Fund.
