During the April session of the Bolesławiec City Council, Kamil Barczyk, head of St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec, provided councillors with information about how the facility he manages operates. He also spoke, among other things, about planned investments. One of them is a modern Rehabilitation Center, which is to be established in the building on Zygmunta Augusta Street that formerly housed the County Police Headquarters.
As the director pointed out, the concept has already been prepared. The plan? 100 beds. This will enable the county facility to provide its patients with comprehensive treatment. (Patients after orthopedic surgery or a stroke would be transferred to a building located just one street away from the ZOZ).
The hospital head added that the former KPP headquarters was an “ideal building,” as it would require only minor architectural changes.
The total cost of the project is PLN 15 million. We will return to this topic.
