The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 22, near Warta Bolesławiecka. At around 1:30 p.m., the driver of a Peugeot passenger car lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and ended up in a ditch. The car overturned.
Officers determined that a 58-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was behind the wheel. He was drunk; a test showed 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The Peugeot driver was arrested. He now faces up to two years in prison.
