Officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec Police unit confirmed that electricity had been illegally consumed in three apartments in the city. KPP: – In all cases, the residents had not signed an agreement with an electricity supplier and had not paid for the electricity they used.
The officers add:
Two women and a man had devices in their apartments that they used every day thanks to makeshift installations allowing a regular supply of electricity.
And they warn:
Unfortunately, cases still occur in which people construct illegal electrical installations themselves. Such action can be very dangerous because of the risk of fire and the risk of accidental electric shock.
The three Bolesławiec residents now face up to five years in prison.
