One of the main principles of the prison service, found on its official website, reads: Humane and lawful treatment of persons deprived of their liberty. In a report, the Bolesławiec woman spoke about what happened at the facility on Kleczkowska Street: female prisoners spat on her, beat her, urinated on her underwear, ordered her to eat from the floor, and spat on that food... Agnieszka speaks for the first time about the brutal attack by her fellow prisoners.

– We were taken to the bathroom. The warder who took me there really disliked me. The bathroom was not locked; we undressed and washed ourselves, and at one point the bathroom door opened. A woman named Marta came in and grabbed me. I tried to defend myself, but I was unable to... Ms Agnieszka recounts in the report.

– This should not have happened to this woman. The penitentiary supervision authorities should have responded – says prof. Torture, humiliation, rape. The Bolesławiec woman speaks about things so terrible that they are difficult to comprehend. According to what we learned from the TVN report, state officials remained silent and did not answer the journalists' questions.
