The incident occurred on Saturday evening on Jaśkiewicza Street in Lwówek Śląski. As reported by lwowecki.info:
According to findings by police officers from Lwówek Śląski, the driver of an Opel Corsa, traveling from the direction of Wleń, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions and, on a bend (...) lost control of the car, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Volkswagen that was traveling properly.
The Opel driver, a 43-year-old from our county, was completely drunk; he had 1.8 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
Our local man was arrested and now faces up to two years behind bars.
