Two Volunteer Fire Service units from Bolesławiec County will receive new rescue and firefighting vehicles. A heavy vehicle will go to Różyniec in the Gromadka municipality. A medium vehicle will go to Wierzbowa, also in the Gromadka municipality.

The list of Volunteer Fire Service units from across Poland that will receive funding to purchase 675 new fire engines was published today.

This is not the first support of this kind for the Volunteer Fire Service. Since 2016, firefighters have received 2,951 rescue and firefighting vehicles.

This year, Volunteer Fire Service units will also be equipped with other firefighting equipment. As announced, more than 236 million zlotys is to be allocated for this purpose. This will make it possible to purchase, among other things: personal protective equipment (uniforms, helmets, protective footwear); communications and armament equipment (saws for wood and metal); rescue and firefighting equipment (pumps, hoses).
