As reported by the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service:
Firefighters from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Bolesławiec and members of volunteer fire brigades anticipated an increased number of incidents due to RCB warnings about strong winds. Fortunately, it ended with just three minor incidents – two damaged trees and improperly secured construction scaffolding.
They added:
Of the five fires, two required the deployment of larger forces. On 17 February 2023, before 3 p.m., six units were dispatched to a fire in a farm building in Nowogrodziec. Operations lasted nearly two hours. The building, which housed animals, burned down. The livestock was saved.
On 18 February this year, after 7 a.m., eight units were dispatched to a garage fire in Wykroty. The fire threatened a residential building. Emergency medical teams took four people to hospital after they were exposed to fire smoke.
