A meeting of the management staff of the Lower Silesian Police was held at the headquarters of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. It was directly connected with the retirement of the Deputy Chief of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, Insp. Paweł Barski.
As it turned out, the retired officer will be replaced by the current head of the Bolesławiec police, Insp. Norbert Kurenda. This is a historic promotion – for the first time, the head of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters has become deputy chief of the Provincial Police Headquarters.
The Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters reports:
Insp. Norbert Kurenda, the current Chief of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, received the personnel order entrusting him with performing the duties of Deputy Chief of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław from 7 February 2023.
It adds:
The chief began his service in 1994 at the District Police Headquarters in Jawor, where he worked in the prevention division until 2004. He then received his first managerial appointment as Deputy Head of the Prevention Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, and later became head of that division. In 2006, he became Head of the Police Staff Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica. His next promotion came in 2008, when he was entrusted with performing the duties of First Deputy Chief of the District Police Headquarters in Lubań, followed in 2016 by the position of Chief of the District Police Headquarters in Lubań. From 2019 until now, Insp. Norbert Kurenda served as Chief of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
It is not yet known who will become the new head of the Bolesławiec police unit. We will return to the subject.
