The ceremony, held on January 31, began with a report to Brig. Gen. Marek Kamiński, Lower Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service in Wrocław, submitted by the ceremony commander, Brig. Piotr Pilarczyk.

Later in the gathering, Junior Brig. Robert Miszkiewicz reported to the county commander that he was relinquishing his duties as JRG commander, while Senior Capt. Sylwester Łasocha reported that he was assuming them. Junior Brig. Dariusz Bandrów also reported that he was relinquishing his duties in the control and reconnaissance section, while Junior Warrant Officer Maciej Marcinkiewicz reported his readiness to assume them.

Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service:

The changes in such senior positions at the Bolesławiec headquarters were caused by four officers retiring. After several decades of service, including 25 years as JRG commander, Junior Brig. Robert Miszkiewicz retired. Also ending their service in the State Fire Service were JRG deputy commander Capt. Wojciech Rosiak, Junior Brig. Dariusz Bandrów from the control and reconnaissance section, and Senior Firefighter Krzysztof Marcinów, senior equipment operator at the Rescue and Firefighting Unit.

Bolesławiec officers emphasized: – Through their many years of service, the firefighters mentioned above made a major contribution to the safety of the residents of Bolesławiec County. During their service, they repeatedly conducted difficult rescue operations, including eliminating the effects of the flood that struck Lower Silesia in 1997; assisting victims of accidents and road disasters on the A4 and A18 motorways; and fighting fires in residential buildings, production plants and forests, including areas of military training grounds. The now-retired firefighters also made a significant contribution to creating and maintaining the readiness of the Bolesławiec Specialist Technical Rescue Group, which repeatedly conducted rescue operations in the western half of Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

Brig. Gen. Marek Kamiński offered his wishes and thanks to those promoted and those retiring, emphasizing that through their service they had also trained worthy successors in the Bolesławiec fire service.

Thanks were also conveyed by Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak, Bolesławiec County Commander of the State Fire Service Senior Brig. Andrzej Śliwowski, and the county commanders of the State Fire Service from Lwówek Śląski and Lubań, as well as Senior Staff Warrant Officer Grzegorz Szczęsny, fire protection inspector of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec. Special applause and thanks were offered by all the colleagues from the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service Headquarters, with whom those leaving the service spent many years working together.
