– On Saturday afternoon, the duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica was notified by residents of the estate that an aggressive man was smashing windows in the stairwell of a tenement building – reports junior warrant officer Anna Tersa of the Legnica police. – A patrol was immediately sent to the scene.

The officers who arrived at the indicated address arrested the aggressive vandal, who turned out to be a 44-year-old resident of Legnica County.

Police spokeswoman: – It turned out that the intoxicated man used a car fire extinguisher and a wooden handle to smash the glass in the entrance doors to the stairwells, damaged the stairwell windows on the first and second floors of the building, and also smashed the windows of several rooms in one of the apartments and the windows of a vehicle parked in the courtyard.

The 44-year-old was taken into police custody and charged. After sobering up, he explained his behaviour by saying that he had argued with a group of men, had “lost his temper” and taken his anger out on the tenement building and the vehicle.

The vandal now faces up to 7.5 years behind bars.
