The high-profile story of the 20-year-old who lived with his grandmother and had been regularly robbing her since October last year continues. Deputy Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra: – His haul included a bicycle, documents, money, payment cards and other small items. It turned out that the Jelenia Góra resident used the stolen cards to pay for small purchases in shops 14 times.

The man was first detained a week ago. On 24 January, the prosecutor imposed police supervision on him as a preventive measure, banned him from approaching his grandmother and ordered him to leave the apartment they shared.

The grandson did not comply with the last order. While his grandmother was away, he broke into the apartment, stealing money and the keys to a garden shed. The spokeswoman: – The victim estimated her losses at more than PLN 5,000. In total, the man was charged with 22 offences in this case.

The result of the 20-year-old’s latest criminal activity? The man was detained again and then placed in temporary detention by the court for three months. The potential sentence has not changed, however – the grandson still faces up to ten years behind bars.
