Another operation has been carried out by Lower Silesian police officers, this time under the name “Safe A4 motorway”. Police officers from Wrocław, Legnica, Bolesławiec, Jawor, Oława, Lubin, Zgorzelec and Złotoryja took part in Friday’s operation.

Junior asp. Paweł Noga from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław:

Marked and unmarked police cars took to the motorway, while the situation was observed from the air by police drone pilots. Officers paid particular attention to improperly performed overtaking manoeuvres, stopping in prohibited places, incorrect vehicle marking during stops, using mobile phones while driving and failing to wear seat belts. Police officers also checked the technical condition of vehicles and whether loads were being transported correctly, as well as whether pedestrians were using the roads properly.

Last Friday, police officers checked 270 vehicles and detected more than 200 offences. Moreover, 13 registration certificates were seized.

Officers:

With the aim of improving safety on the A4 motorway, this type of operation will be carried out regularly by police officers from Lower Silesia. However, let us remember to use common sense and caution when getting into a vehicle, so that we can all reach our destination safely.
