On 16 January, in the morning hours, officers from the Traffic Department of the Bolesławiec Police unit conducted intensified sobriety checks as part of the “Sober Morning” operation.
Bolesławiec KPP:
Between 5:00 and 9:00 a.m., officers checked the sobriety of 1,470 drivers travelling on the roads of Bolesławiec County. In one case, the test result was positive.
After 6:00 a.m., traffic police stopped a passenger-car driver who had got behind the wheel with more than 0.5 parts per thousand of alcohol in his system. The officers said: – The resident of Bolesławiec County will face charges for driving while intoxicated. He faces up to two years in prison, loss of his driving licence and financial penalties.
