Police officers from Bolesławiec identified suspects in a vehicle burglary through operational activities. KPP: – The information gathered led to the arrest of two men.

The 25-year-old broke into a passenger car parked beneath one of the blocks of flats in central Bolesławiec. As he was driving away from the crime scene, he noticed a friend, so he took him along. Knowing that his acquaintance had nowhere to sleep, he “lent” him the stolen vehicle so that he could spend the night in it.
The burglar’s friend, a 28-year-old from Lwówek County, knew perfectly well that the car came from a crime, yet he helped hide it.
Two days after the theft, the car was recovered in a neighboring county. Police officers from Zgorzelec secured the vehicle in a car park beside the DK94 road.
There will be consequences—for both the thief and the handler of stolen goods
A resident of Bolesławiec County was charged with burglary, for which he faces a sentence of one to 10 years in prison. His older friend will answer for handling stolen goods. (He could spend as many as five years behind bars).
