Bolesławiec police officers detained three people suspected of a beating that resulted in injuries to the victim classified as serious. Police:
As a result of effective operational activities, officers from the criminal division of the Bolesławiec Police unit identified and located people who could be directly connected with the brutal beating that took place on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2022. The man who was the victim in this case required immediate hospitalisation and surgical intervention due to the injuries he sustained.
The perpetrators took advantage of their victim being away from his place of residence and attacked the man. Acting jointly and in agreement, they struck and kicked the victim with great aggression. In this way, they caused him numerous wounds and bodily injuries. Officers: – The attackers’ actions were so forceful that the victim suffered serious bodily harm.
None of the suspects had a permanent place of residence in our county. Criminal investigators had to carry out a series of various operational activities to determine where the aggressors were. They turned out to be men aged between 25 and 44. They were completely surprised both by their arrest by police officers and by the reason for it.
That was not the end of the matter. The owner of the house where the entire incident took place also heard charges in this case. The 41-year-old resident of Bolesławiec will be held responsible for covering up evidence of the beating and failing to report a crime. He faces up to 5 years in prison. The prosecutor placed the man under police supervision and imposed a travel ban.
Officers:
The police officers’ and prosecutors’ sole objective was to bring those suspected of the beating before the courts so that the court could apply a custodial preventive measure against the perpetrators. On the basis of the evidence, including confirmation of the injuries that caused serious harm to the victim, all three detainees were temporarily detained for three months. They now face up to 8 years in prison.
