Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn, as a result of operational activities, identified the perpetrator who cut down and stole trees from a forest. The crime took place on December 31, 2022, in the area of the Złotoryja Forest District.
According to the police, the 45-year-old drove to the forest on New Year's Eve, after dark, in a car with a trailer and with a specific purpose. In a place not visible from the road, he cut down trees, then cut them into pieces and transported them away.
During a conversation with officers, the suspect explained that he had stolen the wood for his own use. The police determined where the property obtained through the crime was being stored and recovered it.
Officers: – The resident of Bolesławiec County was charged in the case and faces up to five years in prison.
