Firefighters from OSP Nowogrodziec on 2022:
Last year, we took part in 146 rescue and firefighting operations. This was the second-highest number of interventions among volunteer fire brigades in Bolesławiec County.
Including:
- fires – 74
- local hazards – 65
- false alarms – 7.
Once, the firefighters intervened outside Bolesławiec County. What is more, they won the Municipal Firefighting and Sports Competition in two categories: adults and the youth fire brigade. The firefighters said: – At the provincial level, we took a high 4️th place in the drill category.
The firefighters emphasize:
We maintained 100% turnout for deployments, which means that at least one of our vehicles responded to every alarm.
What did we achieve last year?
- acquire a brand-new rescue and firefighting vehicle
- purchase a heavy rescue and firefighting vehicle as well as a special vehicle – a mechanical ladder
- purchase:
- 4️ angle flashlights
- a set of cordless power tools (screwdriver, reciprocating saw, angle grinder)
- obtain:
- a thermal imaging camera
- a PSP R1 medical bag
- a firefighting lance
- a chimney lance
- a turbo nozzle
- an extension ladder
- 4️ portable radios with chargers
- a Halligan multifunctional bar
- a dielectric Halligan multifunctional bar
- 4️3 fire hoses
- 2️ hose cassette boxes
- a hammer drill
- youth fire brigade uniforms
- renovate the OSP office.

The firefighters add:
During rescue and firefighting operations, one of our firefighters was injured; let us hope that this year we will have no shortage of safety.

Our fellow firefighter Krystyna Klimek passed away, having served as Secretary of the OSP Board for many years and making a major contribution to the development of our unit through her commitment.
