It was intended for pupils in Years 1–3 of primary schools and involved creating an artwork whose message was to illustrate issues related to smog, its consequences, and to show that each of us influences the condition of the air we breathe. The prizes for the winners were funded and presented by the Mayor of Bolesławiec, Piotr Roman. The official announcement of the results and presentation of the prizes took place on 9 December 2022 in the conference room of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre.
Approximately 200 entries were submitted for the competition and assessed by a competition committee comprising representatives of Bolesławiec Municipal Police and an employee of BOK – MCC. As a result of the assessment, 12 winning entries were selected – three in each year-group category, and three entries received honourable mentions (Years 1, 2 and 3 were assessed separately). The winning entries were placed on a 2023 poster calendar so that education in this area could continue throughout the year. In addition, a gallery of all competition entries submitted to the Municipal Police was created, which everyone can view at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre until 20 December this year (second floor).
