The construction of the road safety town includes the following elements:
- a roadway with a minimum area of 400 m2, including:
- one priority intersection,
- one intersection with a subordinate road,
- one roundabout,
- one intersection with traffic lights,
- one traffic island,
- a roadway for practicing so-called figure eights,
- pedestrian crossings,
- a road narrowing,
- a railway crossing,
- parking spaces, including one for people with disabilities);
- sidewalks and pedestrian crossings, including:
- a crossing with traffic lights,
- a crossing without traffic lights,
- a special crossing marked as a children's crossing;
- road signs:
- vertical,
- horizontal,
- lighted.
Bolesławiec municipality:
The town's facilities will also include street furniture and colorful outdoor games placed between the roadways. The town's area will be illuminated in a manner ensuring adequate visibility throughout the site after dark.
The completed town will enable professional practical classes to be held, strengthening the school education system in the area of road safety. It will also allow students to gain experience and qualifications to ride bicycles and mopeds on public roads.
The project's main objective is to improve the road safety of children from primary schools in Bolesławiec municipality by building a road safety town next to the School and Preschool Complex in Brzeźnik.
How much will it cost?
Eligible expenditure: PLN 538,294
EU funding: PLN 457,549.90.
When will the town be built?
Implementation and completion of the project are planned for 2023.
