– The arrest took place in Lubin. While carrying out operational activities in one of the houses, officers noticed a man who tried to escape from the law enforcement officers through the patio doors. He was holding a plastic rubbish bin – reports junior warrant officer Paweł Noga from the Press Section of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – He was quickly arrested.

It turned out that the 30-year-old wanted to carry over a kilogram of dried marijuana, portioned into small bags, from the house in this way.

Spokesperson:

The arrested man was taken to a police cell. Officers are currently investigating the circumstances of the entire case in detail, including where the man obtained the narcotics and on what scale he distributed them.

He added:

Let us recall that possession of drugs is punishable by up to three years in prison, while if the subject of the offence is a significant quantity, the sentence may be as much as ten years in prison. In the case of trafficking drugs, one can spend between two and twelve years in prison.

The court remanded the 30-year-old in custody for three months.
