Before 7 a.m.—past Dobra in the direction of Kliczków, a bus was in a ditch.
According to a reader who contacted us, from early morning the road from Bolesławiec toward Kliczków was slippery, but from Kliczków toward Świętoszów the roads were covered with so-called “black ice.”
According to their account, some residents of Kliczków spread sand on the road near their properties themselves, fearing that a car might skid and drive into their premises.
We appeal to drivers to exercise caution; the roads are very slippery. The following is stated in the level-one weather warning concerning Bolesławiec County:
Freezing of wet road and pavement surfaces is forecast after sleet and wet-snow precipitation, causing icing. The minimum temperature will range from -6°C to -2°C, with the minimum temperature near the ground locally around -8°C.
