On Monday morning, between 5:00 and 9:00 a.m., officers of the Traffic Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec conducted intensified sobriety checks on drivers entering or leaving the motorway.

The officers checked 548 drivers travelling on the A4. In two cases, the result was positive. Both the 37-year-old and the 67-year-old are residents of Bolesławiec County. Both men had just under 0.5 per mille of alcohol in their systems, which means that by getting behind the wheel, they committed a road traffic offence.

Driving after consuming alcohol is punishable by arrest or a fine, as well as the loss of a driving licence for between 6 months and 3 years.
