– Very good knowledge of the area by community police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lubań allowed them to arrest a 49-year-old man suspected of committing two offences – reports junior asp. Krzysztof Marcjan from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
And he adds:
During a search of the residence, police officers found nearly 40 portions of marijuana and 8 portions of methamphetamine. Meanwhile, an object resembling a firearm was found in a recess in a table. It was secured and will then be handed over to the forensic laboratory for further examination.
The suspect was arrested and taken to police custody. He has already been charged with drug possession. By decision of the prosecutor, the 49-year-old was placed under police supervision and banned from leaving the country.
However, that is not the end of the matter. The spokesperson said: – The firearm secured by the officers will undergo expert examination. If it is confirmed that this is a firearm requiring a permit, the man will be charged with illegal possession of a firearm, which carries a prison sentence of between 6 months and 8 years.
