The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 2, in Raciborowice Górne. Before 8:00 p.m., the 47-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road and hit a gate.
No one was injured. However, it turned out that the man should not have been behind the wheel at all, as he was subject to a court-imposed driving ban. It is also possible that he was under the influence of some substance at the time of the incident. His blood was taken for testing.
In any event, the man, who was detained for violating the court-imposed ban, faces a prison sentence of between three months and as many as five years.
