Bolesławiec criminal investigators determined that the wanted man was doing odd jobs and was currently in one of the villages. When he was arrested, the 39-year-old, in order to avoid prison, provided the details of an acquaintance who lives in the same village as the man himself.

The police did not believe the wanted man, being certain that the right person had been arrested—someone who had been sentenced for crimes against his family.
What is more, the 39-year-old incriminated himself even further. The officers said: – Believing that he would avoid prison, he even signed the police report using his acquaintance’s surname.
At that time, the officers determined that proceedings were already underway against the wanted man in connection with his earlier use of the victim’s details and forgery of his signature. (The suspect did this five times in total).
The 39-year-old now faces an additional sentence of up to five years in prison.
