On Monday, October 24, starting as early as 5:00 a.m., the Bolesławiec traffic police conducted the Safe County operation. The Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters:
Police officers checked the sobriety of more than 550 drivers travelling on the roads of Bolesławiec County. Four residents of Bolesławiec County were detained for driving under the influence of alcohol: two were intoxicated, and two had consumed alcohol.
The first to be caught was a 33-year-old van driver who had 0.7 parts per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air. Two car drivers then met a similar fate. Both had consumed alcohol.
But the most serious consequences will be faced by a 35-year-old man who has a court-imposed lifetime driving ban. He was detained on Monday after driving a car while drunk, with more than 2 parts per mille of alcohol in his system. Officers: “Breaking a court-imposed ban is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
