Based on operational activities, criminal investigators identified people who may have been connected with the break-in at a workshop and the theft of fishing equipment worth more than PLN 50,000. Two men living in Bolesławiec County were arrested.
The theft took place at the beginning of October. Under cover of night, a 29-year-old man broke into an outbuilding. – Seeing a large quantity of valuable items, he decided to gradually remove the fishing equipment and store it in one place. The thief took, among other things, reels, fishing rods, engines and tents – lists Staff Sergeant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
She adds:
Over several consecutive nights, the perpetrator stole property worth more than PLN 50,000. After his arrest, the man was charged with burglary, for which he faces up to 10 years in prison.
A 30-year-old fence who helped the burglar sell the stolen items was also arrested. He faces up to five years behind bars.
Bolesławiec police recovered a significant portion of the property. The officers said: – Actions to recover the remaining items are continuing.
