The only company to submit a bid for the renovation of the Bolesławiec stadium offered a price that, unfortunately, turned out to be too high. Therefore, the municipal authorities will announce another call for bids within two weeks—but this time in a “scaled-down” version.
As Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall, explains, the local government is not abandoning the investment; it simply wants to carry it out in stages. The “scaling down” will mean that, in the first stage, the City will withdraw from building the stands. This is expected to affect the prices proposed by contractors.
If everything goes according to plan, the announced completion date for the investment—2023—will be met. However, the stands will probably not be built until 2024.
