On October 11 and 12, the Czeremszyna ensemble from Ternopil, Ukraine, visited Bolesławiec. The ensemble came at the invitation of the Bolesławiec branch of the Society of Friends of Lviv and the Southeastern Borderlands. The artists performed at Primary School No. 5, the General and Vocational Education Complex, the Senior+ Day Care Center and the Palace in Kruszyn.

Barbara Smoleńska, head of the Bolesławiec branch of the Society of Friends of Lviv and the Southeastern Borderlands:

The high-caliber artists and excellent artistic program provided positive emotions and unforgettable experiences. For children and young people, it was an element of music education, so important for a young person. Musical activities influence not only the development of musical knowledge and skills, but also the overall development of a young person. It could be seen that contact with artists from Ukraine was very important not only for young people and adult Ukrainians currently living in Bolesławiec, but also for the residents of Bolesławiec. During the concerts at the schools, the Day Care Center and the Palace in Kryszyn, the audience expressed their sympathy and solidarity with the Ukrainian nation.

They performed:

  • Natalia Bojko – soloist – soprano,
  • Stepan Buranycz – accordion,
  • Lubomir Roketskij – violin,
  • Rusłan Melnyk – woodwind instruments,
  • Nelia Panonko and Roman Papinko – dancers.

The president of the Bolesławiec Society of Friends of Lviv and the Southeastern Borderlands adds:

Once again, we will be able to admire the artists’ musical artistry on Saturday, October 15, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Stara Księgarnia café in Bolesławiec, and on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius on Łasicka Street, during Masses at 9:00, 10:30 and 12:00.
