Mayor Piotr Roman mentioned during the September meeting of the Bolesławiec City Council that he had met with representatives of the Animal Assistance Association, who suggested to the head of the city government that the City of Ceramics could use a warming shelter for cats. – The proposal went as far as suggesting, for example, that new swimming pools should not be built – the mayor noted. Another proposal was to designate the building of the former District Police Headquarters for this purpose.

– We view the activities of the Animal Assistance Association very positively, but we cannot afford this kind of initiative – P. Roman stressed. – We do not have premises that we could hand over to the women from the association. We have a shelter in Przylasek.
