The incident occurred on Tuesday, after 9 p.m. – Police officers patrolling the municipality of Mirsk noticed an Audi towing a Renault van. The officers stopped both drivers for inspection – reports Senior Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.

During their conversation with the people being inspected, the officers became suspicious about the sobriety of the driver who was towing and the driver who was being towed. As it turned out, they were right. A drug test showed that both the 32-year-old man in the Audi and the 23-year-old woman in the Renault were under the influence of methamphetamine. Both lost their driving licences.

Officers: – Under the Criminal Code, for driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, the detained residents of Lwówek County face up to two years in prison, a court-imposed driving ban and a fine.
