Starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak mentioned during his report on the most important activities in the period between sessions that Bolesławiec County had received funding for a shooting range, which is to be established at the II General Secondary School in Bolesławiec by the end of the year. The head of the County Board added:
Not to frighten you, it will be an air rifle range; we will not be firing live ammunition.
And he immediately added:
Although I admit that I would also like—and so would the mayor—for a full-size shooting range to be built in Bolesławiec. It seems there is a need for one.
As we have managed to establish, quite a few Bolesławiec residents engage in sport shooting. For now, they have to use the shooting range in Złotoryja. Whether this will change, and when, remains to be seen.
