As the mandate of Ryszard Kawka, the former chairman of the Bolesławiec County Council (he became the head of the Gromadka local government), had expired, an election for a new head of the body was held during the council’s September session.

There are two candidates:

  • Wojciech Kasprzyk – nominated by Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak,
  • Tomasz Matyjewicz – nominated by Jacek Łuczkowski from the opposition Wolny Bolesławiec club.

Who will become the new chairman? Time will tell.
