The September session of the Bolesławiec County Council is under way. During Wednesday’s meeting, Leokadia Krawiecka took the oath of office as a councillor Leokadia Krawiecka, replacing Ryszard Kawka, the newly elected head of Gromadka Municipality.

We have already reported in these pages that Ryszard Kawka, the then-chairman of the Bolesławiec County Council, had become the new head of Gromadka Municipality. Who would take his place on the council?
The seat on the Bolesławiec County Council was taken by a candidate from the Non-Party Local Government Officials’ list who achieved the second-best result in electoral district four in the 2018 local elections. That person is Leokadia Krawiecka, a resident of Wierzbowa and the current head of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Gromadka, based in Wierzbowa. In the most recent local elections, L. Krawiecka received 209 votes.
The councillor has been associated with Gromadka’s local government for 41 years and has headed its Social Welfare Centre for 23 years.
