– Police officers combating drug-related crime eliminate all types of substances prohibited by law from the black market. This time, officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn, as a result of operational activities, uncovered an Indian hemp plantation and arrested a person suspected of a drug offense – reports asp. Aleksandra Pieprzycka from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
She adds: – It turned out that the 57-year-old was growing 35 Indian hemp plants in a forest complex. The man was arrested while carrying 5 freshly cut plants to his car.
The resident of Bolesławiec Municipality had already been convicted of similar offenses. He explained to the officers that he grew marijuana because he had a leg condition and the “weed” helped with his ailments.
The plantation was dismantled. Since the 57-year-old is a recidivist, he faces up to 4.5 years in prison.
