The incident took place during the night of 27–28 August on Orla Street in Bolesławiec. The driver of an Audi, a 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen, failed to adjust his speed to the traffic conditions, lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a property fence.
Fortunately, no one suffered any serious injuries. According to the Bolesławiec police, the foreign national was “under the influence of alcohol” and was “detained for further proceedings”.
Let us recall that driving under the influence carries a penalty of up to two years in prison.
