On August 22, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a fatal road accident occurred in Radomierz on national road 3, near the turnoff to Janowice. – Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of a Škoda, traveling from Wrocław toward Jelenia Góra, skidded, lost control of the vehicle, and then struck with its rear the BMW traveling toward Wrocław – reports Assistant Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.
She adds: – As a result of the incident, two people in the Škoda died despite resuscitation efforts, while four people in the BMW received medical assistance.
The prosecutor’s office and police officers are investigating the case. The latter appeal to drivers to exercise caution on the road:
“Take your foot off the gas.” Let us adjust our speed to the conditions on the road. Because of the rainfall, the roads are slippery, and braking distances therefore become significantly longer. Let us ensure our own safety and that of other road users.
