The incident took place on Saturday, August 13. Volunteer firefighters from Różyniec:
At 2:21 p.m., we were dispatched to a forest fire on the A18 near the town of Lipiany. Upon arrival, it turned out to be a false alarm.
They added:
On the way back, we received a dispatch stating that there was a fire in Parkoszów. We went there together with OSP Trzebień and JRG Bolesławiec.
Approximately 60 ares of wasteland were burned. The danger was eliminated; fortunately, no one was hurt.
