As volunteer firefighters from Wierzbowa reported on Thursday:
(...) at 11:33 a.m., we were dispatched to a forest fire near Borówki. At the scene, we worked together with OSP Gromadka, OSP Różyniec, OSP Trzebień and PSP Bolesławiec.
The uniformed services from Różyniec added on August 11, in another post about the fire in Osła:
Today is already the sixth day of operations, and we have spent more than 70 hours fighting the fire in the zone. And as if that were not enough, while resting we were called out twice to forest fires in Wierzbowa and Borówki.
